sign design

At Image, we offer a straightforward sign design service that progresses from your initial ideas and goals, to a blueprint for a fully workable sign. We also offer assembly and installation services under the same roof, so we can take care of the entire end-to-end signage creation process.

Over the years we have worked with organisations in a wide range of sectors, and the one thing they have in common is that every signage requirement is unique! The journey always starts with a thorough understanding of where your business is at, what your signs are intended to achieve, and how these goals fit in with your brand identity. From this, we can plan a bespoke design that encompasses your goals and fits in with your required timescale and budget.

each sign design process follows several broad stages:

1) Identifying The Type Of Sign You Need: There are many different types of commercial signs in use, so the first step is to identify the general design that fits in best with your intended purpose. For example, you may require a window graphic, a hanging sign, a freestanding totem, or monolith signboard, or an illuminated shop front.

2) Materials: Signage can be created from a range of materials, so a key part of the design process is to select the most appropriate media for optimum durability and appearance. At Image, we fabricate signs from acrylic, vinyl, metal, and wood and much more.

3) Initial Design: The design process itself is a multistage conversation, in which we narrow down the best choice of colours, fonts, branding placement, imagery, and other factors that make the signage unique. The culmination of this stage is a series of samples, first draft drawings, or prototype signs, which can be honed into a final design.

4) Finished Design: Following feedback and evaluation, the final design is presented to you for approval. Using CAD software, you will be able to see exactly how the finished signage will look in practice and will have the opportunity to make any last-minute adjustments. The sign blueprints are then ready for manufacturing.
