Types of EV Signs We Offer

There are several types of EV charging signs to suit different purposes and locations.

Wayfinding signs guide drivers safely to charging points from surrounding streets or within large car parks, helping reduce confusion and improve traffic flow.

Totem signs are freestanding, highly visible markers that clearly identify charging zones from a distance, which are ideal for larger sites like supermarkets, retail parks and transport hubs.

Wall-mounted signs are perfect for compact areas or covered parking where space is limited, and also to mark individual bays and highlight necessary instructions.

Other options include informational signs that convey charging instructions, rules, safety notices and parking restriction signs that help enforce EV-only spaces. With a range of sizes, finishes and illumination options available, EV signage can be tailored to enhance visibility, accessibility and brand identity across any environment.

Here at Image, we provide durable, high-quality EV charging signs that are designed to effortlessly withstand daily wear and tear, harsh outdoor conditions and anything else you could throw at them. What are EV charging signs?

Wayfinding signage is a system of signs, symbols and visual aids that are strategically placed to guide people through unfamiliar environments.

They relay important information, such as identifying key locations, facilities and emergency exits. Effective wayfinding signage enhances people’s ability to quickly navigate an indoor or outdoor site. By using clear visuals, universally recognised symbols and consistent design elements, wayfinding signs help people to adapt quickly to their surroundings and find their destination.

What are the best EV charging signage options for public car parks?

What are the UK legal requirements for EV charging point signage?

In the UK, EV charging point signage for any on-street bays needs to comply with Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions. This regulation sets out what kind of wording is appropriate and anything that should be included on the sign too. These signs are then enforceable by local authorities. Private land requirements are less regulated, but should still include information like price, restrictions and time limits.
