WESTGATE SOCIAL

The Story

Eat, drink, be social in Westgate.

Westgate Social is the perfect place to dine and socialise. With an eclectic mix of food from around the world and Crazy Golf like you’ve never seen it before, Social is the ultimate place to grab some delicious food on the go and enjoy leisure fun.

The Brief

Westgate approached us looking for signage to finish off and complement their Westgate Social.

Working hard to ensure that we complemented their already strong brand and gorgeous location, we provided both internal and external signage.

Built up lettering in a worn copper finish with subtle backlit illumination over both entrances gives an understated acknowledgement.

Contrast that with the ‘SOCIAL’ logo finished in a faux neon fitted to curved glass expense, drawing footfall into the centre.

Building on the logo further inside the eatery, an exploded  ‘SOCIAL’ logo on a feature wall works well with the décor of the various restaurants and cafes.

 

Southwater

SOUTHWATER

The Story

As part of the £250million regeneration of Telford City centre, The Southwater development is the new heart of the city, with Restaurants, Cinemas and the new Lake destination. We were able to successfully acquire the contract to supply the wayfinding directional signs for this initial area with a view to developing a city wide scheme.

Working with both the client and a design agency, the initial task was to provide 6 double sided information wayfinding signs, each unit was required to incorporate directional information for local amenities, and a pin-point location map.

3 of the units incorporated a 50inch landscape interactive touch screen, displaying content for local companies to advertise as well as a map and wayfinding details.

These information points where designed to provide maximum visual impact and information, whilst being constructed to stand up to the rigors of a busy town centre environment. As a result of this we now have rolled this design out city wide.

Digital Totems

As show at Grand Central, we have manufactured a digital way finding totem from start to finish.

With a 64″ LCD display touch screen, customers are able to navigate throughout grand central carefree.

Odeon Oldham-28

ODEON

THE STORY

After 30 years, Odeon decided to open a new cinema in Oldham. The new seven-screen cinema is set to transform local entertainment. Sitting right in the heart of the old town hall, it retains several of the grade-II listed building’s historic features and serves to  preserve the landmark for future generations.

The multi-million-pound project is one-of-a-kind and brings the old into the new. Built using the latest technology, it includes a state-of-the-art Odeon exclusive ISENSE screen, one of just three in the UK.

THE BRIEF

Image Technique were appointed as the main signage contractor for the whole Odeon development, working side-by-side with established architects. The project was to include high and low-level Odeon lettering, Costa signage and ISENSE illuminated letters onto the glass facade, as well as all the internal way-finding signage throughout the cinema.

THE RESULT

Over 60 individual signs were fitted, not including small wayfinding plaques. Image also provided a full signage pack which included the likes of 3x high-level 2m edge-lit acrylic blade signs displaying the food brands and cinema tickets.

A total of x6 fully illuminated internal totem signs plus one external digital totem, all  including a digital package,  were provided by Image. We also incorporated our own Hi-Brite illuminated letters to illuminate the auditorium entrance

WEST HAM UNITED

ABOUT THE PROJECT - Image were selected to carry out a major branding package both internally & externally to assist West Ham United to move into their stunning new home. With Image’s design, structural calculations, manufacturing & installation crews we were able to deliver an entire package over two 3 week phrases.

WHAT WE DID - Our work consisted of the iconic ‘West Ham United’ marquee signage that stands 3m high on top of the stadium roof. We also delivered the largely televised pop up tunnel leading all players from the pitch to the changing rooms, the VIP entrance and the players changing room. Around the inner concourse we carried out the West Ham legends football shirts, large trophies and crossed hammer West Ham United is vast project and we are extremely pleased with we have achieved.

SURE

THE STORY

In 2016 Sure have launched their flagship store of the future in Guernsey having previously refurbished stores on both Isle of Man and Jersey.The previous store layouts looked tired and did not appeal to their customers in the way that they wanted them to see their products.As well as changing the look of the store there has been an extensive focus on what the customers require, providing them with a fresh, new experience.

THE BRIEF

Following the recent success of the Sure, Isle of Wight and Jersey stores, Image Technique have again been given the task to deliver the same service albeit to the level expected at a flagship store for Waterloo House, Guernsey.

Working alongside the interior design specialist, Made In Place and our software partners Acquire Digital we installed a 14 screen video strip for digital marketing purposes which incorporated a series of fully interactive screens at certain key points across the store. This allows customers a new understanding of the digital future and the ability to interact with products and offers through the use of the latest in store technology.

GRAND CENTRAL MALL

ABOUT THE PROJECT -

Grand central is a modern shopping centre with a fresh and contemporary atmosphere that stands out from the rest. It contains 60 shops and restaurants with the development set over four floors as well as neighbouring  New Street Station.

WHAT WE DID -

We were instructed to design, manufacture all new signage & digital within the development. Our work consisted of suspended signs, way-finding, interactive digital totems, the re-branding of the NCP car park as well as the iconic 1200mm high  ‘Grand Central’ letters overlooking the atrium.

Grand Central now has a state-of-the-art fully integrated digital & traditional signage solution to fit it’s modern brand.

55-featured

55 SPRING GARDENS

The Story

55 Spring Gardens brings you something strictly unconventional, bending the rules normally applied to traditional office space. If you’re looking for a confident, forward thinking work space in the heart of Manchester, you’ve found it!

55 Spring Gardens has been transformed into a stunning, Grade A office space, ideal for the modern occupier.

The Brief

As part of the redevelopment of 55 Spring Gardens, Image Technique were appointed as the main contractor for implementing the signage, entrance portico lighting, digital media and audio throughout the main entrance foyer and lift lobbies within the building.

Working in conjunction with both ADT Workplace, FRA and MBE Glazing, we initially developed the lighting and signage specification for the glazed entrance portico to encompass a DMX controlled, full colour changing entrance structure that is not only visable from outside, but returns within the entrance foyer of the building itself.

Following on from the initial phase of the project, Image Technique were commissioned by CBRE and ADT Workplace to implement a fully integrated digital media and atmospheric audio system. This was a fully customised system designed for 55 SPG by Image Technique alongside our strategic software development partner Acquire Digital.

The Result

The project resulted in a spectacular colour changing entrance feature complete with vertically stacked brushed stainless steel letters and over head entrance numerals internally illuminated and adhered to the glazing.

Internally we implemented a digitally projected tenant directory, complete with subtle animation, a branded colour changing ‘gobo’ projector for corporate events and a series of indvidual media screens within privacy booths complete with full wireless connectivity.

The showpiece was the videowall, constructed of 9No 55” ultra thin bezel commercial screens complete with fully wireless connectivity via handheld tablet that has the custom built software loaded onto the desktop. This enables the user to interact with the videowall via a series of ‘mode’ switches, allowing 4K content to be displayed from the pre-configured library complete with atmospheric sounds, a direct feed for live televison and finally a presentation mode feature to allow third party content to be displayed at the swipe of the screen or at the touch of a button.

THE SHARD

THE STORY

The Shard needed to highlight their main entrance to the ‘Viewing Gallery’ attraction, they proposed to do this by fitting a canopy and sign work over the entrance way.

THE BRIEF

The 14 x 8 meter canopy structure is suspended from the underside of the railway bridge structure incorporating The Shard logo to three sides and a low resolution video screen to the underside.

THE RESULT

The installation was completed on time and on budget resulting in Image Technique winning the British Sign Awards: Digital Signage Project of the Year award for 2014.

CHELTENHAM RACE COURSE

THE STORY

Cheltenham; A Jockey Club Racecourse, is one of the most prestigious horse racing venues in the UK.

Home to the Cheltenham Festival with a capacity of around 70,000 spectators, it is also home to the Steeplechase Hall of Fame.

THE BRIEF

Working in conjunction with Roberts Limbrick Architects and alongside Kier construction, Image Technique were tasked with implementing both the signage and way-finding strategy in tandem with delivering the digital signage and media package for the new £50 Million re-development scheme at the racecourse.

THE RESULT

As part of the phase one specification Image Technique successfully installed a 100sqm LED screen, the largest freestanding outdoor screen of its kind in the UK.

At the same time as installing the outdoor screen we also implemented a full internal and external way-finding system to identify the key areas that were developed as part of the initial phase in 2014.

The second phase required to be finalised in 2015 incorporates both external and internal digital signage and media, way-finding and lifestyle graphics throughout the new Grandstand.
